Join Te Kohuroa Rewilding and a panel of guest speakers to learn about the outcomes of the first season of rewilding and to add your voice to the future of marine restoration at Te Kohuroa Matheson Bay.
Since September 2024 an incredible lineup of community volunteers, organisations and conservation experts have come together to deliver over 20 events focused on improving the health and wellbeing of the freshwater catchment and marine ecosystem at Te Kohuroa Matheson Bay.
There have been so many highlights including freshwater surveying and spotlighting, a marine biodiversity workshop, guided marine snorkels and fish counts and of course our community restoration days where everyone worked collectively to harvest kina for kelp restoration. We are so grateful to everyone who showed up to make these events a success and we’re excited to share the outcomes of this wonderful mahi.
