You’ll find Alistair and Karen Noakes every Saturday morning at the Matakana Village Farmers’ Market.  Arrange a special wine tasting by appointment.
In 2013 the small certified organic vineyard was planted with Chardonnay, Syrah and the Austrian variety Grüner veltliner, carefully chosen for compatibility with Matakana’s climate, soils and environment.  A special connection to the Hundertwasser Art Centre in Whangarei has grown.
October 30 wines are also available at the Vintry wine bar in Matakana, at Aldo’s Restaurant and the Tahi Bar in Warkworth, and at wine shops in Mangawhai and Silverdale.
