Kai & Kōrero is a free Matariki celebration bringing the Matakana Village community together for a day of kai, kapa haka, kōrero, live music, market stalls and whānau-friendly activities.

Set riverside in the heart of Matakana Village, the event includes kapa haka from Matakana School and Snells Beach School, a special kōrero with Shot Bro – Rob Mokaraka at Matakana Village Cinemas, a Matariki book signing with Miriama Kamo at UNITY Collection Gallery, weaving workshops, face painting, the Matariki Remembrance Tree and plenty of kai, coffee and Village shopping.
