Assemble Assemble on abutment of old Waiwera Bridge, beside Waiwera turnoff from State Highway 17
Walk to Wenderholm Jetty via Wenderholm walking tracks, ferry ride across the Pühoi River, picnic lunch on hillside overlooking the Pühoi Estuary, walk to saddle overlooking Te Muri (only a 50-metre elevation), walk Te Muri beach, ferry across Te Muri estuary, gentle walk up to end of Ngarewa Drive, overlooking Sullivans Bay.
A minibus will return registered walkers to Waiwera, and to Warkworth, leaving Mahurangi West at 3 pm—donations appreciated.

Public transport from south 895 Midtown to Waiwera buses leave for Waiwera 10 minutes past the hour, and from Waiwera 40 minutes past the hour.
